Sean Parnell

Sean Parnell is an Amery High School alum and former multi-sport Athlete. He was a 4-year letter winner in track (one time all state) and three-year letter winner in Football (one time all state), Wrestling (one time all state) and Baseball (two time all state). In baseball he was a three-time all-conference selection, two time all northwest team, one-time northwest player of the year, two-time all-state selection and offensive player of the year in 1996 with .612 BA and 18 Home Runs. He led his high school baseball team to 3 consecutive conference championship from 1994-1996, three regional championships in 1994 - 1996 and two state appearances in 1994, 1996 in 3 seasons on varsity.
He went on to play baseball at Wisconsin -Oshkosh where he helped the titans to a 102-19 record, three WIAC championships and One NCAA Division III World Series appearance from 1997-1999. He was a three time all WIAC selection, all region team and one time All American before being drafted in the 16th round of the 1999 MLB First Year Payer Draft by the Seattle Mariners.
At UW- Oshkosh, Parnell counts helping UWO to a school record tying 41 wins in 1998 and leading the team in almost all major offensive categories in 1999 season. He finished his UWO career with a career .362 average with 24 home runs, 21 doubles, tying the single season triples record and 111 RBI’s 118 games.
Also spent two season playing for the Eau Claire Cavaliers, winning rookie of the year honors in 1997 and being selected to the CABA world series all-tournament team in 1998
After his collegiate career, Parnell played 3 injury plagues seasons in the Seattle Mariner minor league system. During those three seasons he was voted the most improved Milb player in the organization breaking 2000 spring training.
Following his playing career with the Mariners he graduated with a degree in Kinesiology with a minor in coaching from the University of Minnesota. He has 6 plus years of girls traveling softball coaching experieince, 6 plus years of high school fastpitch coaching experience and currently in his second year of coaching high school baseball at New Richmond High School.
