Scott is a graduate of Amery High School where he competed in Cross Country and Track lettering in both sports each year he competed. Also qualified to compete in 4 state championships between both sports. Named captain in both sports his senior year.

He has 30+ years of experience playing high level men's fastpitch playing against players from all around the world. He made the All-World Team as a pitcher and has won 2 Minnesota State Championships in different classes with numerous top 4 finishes in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Also has numerous top 10 finishes at the national level in NAFA and ASA and continues to play high level fastpitch today.

He is currently the assistant varsity coach and pitching coach at Woodbury High School where he has been for the last 7 seasons. He has also coached at River Falls High School and has been a volunteer coach at other high schools and associations / clubs since 2004. He provides private lessons to kids of all ages and also does clinics for local associations and clubs in the Twin Cities and Western Wisconsin.
