Mason Mitchell is a native of Charlottesville, VA and a graduate of The Covenant School in Albemarle County, VA. He played a year and a half at West Virginia University Potomac State Junior College. After his first semester at Potomac State Junior College he transferred to Division III Bridgewater College where he played in 16 games posting a 250 avg and was a utility player before injuries ended his career his junior year, where he only posted one game on one hit. Mitchell received his bachelor's degree from Bridgewater College in Health and Exercise Science- minor in physical education.

Mitchell is joining ISA West with two years of coaching experience. He started his coaching career as a JV assistant coach at Spotswood High School in Rockingham County in 2022. In 2023 he joined the staff as an assistant coach with the Woodstock River Bandits, a collegiate summer league team in Woodstock, VA. His second year of coaching came under Kevin Barb at Massanutten Military Academy as an assistant coach and infielders’ coach. He was Assistant Athletic Director as well. Mason also brings 13 years of experience where he learned alongside of his father Larry Mitchell an Ex MLB Pitcher with the Philadelphia Phillies.
